Baked Custard

Ingredients
  • 2 cup milk
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

    In a 4 cup glass measure, heat milk on HIGH in the microwave for 3 minutes, or heat to 150 degrees with probe. Add eggs, sugar and vanilla. Beat with rotary beater. Pour into five 6 oz. custard cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Arrange in a circle, 1 inch apart, raised on shelf or inverted dish. Cook at 50% for 5 minutes. Rearrange custard cups; let stand 45 seconds. Cook at 50% for 3-4 minutes longer or until custard starts to bubble. Cool.
