Baked Lasagna

Ingredients
  • 6 lasagna noodles
  • 1/2 lb mozzarella cheese
  • Cottage Cheese Mixture
  • Meat Sauce
  • Cottage Cheese Mixture:
  • 1 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp parsley flakes
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Meat Sauce:
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp garlic flakes
  • 1 1/2 tsp basil
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
Instructions

    Cook noodles in boiling salt water according to package directions.   Drain and rinse in cool water. Place three noodles on bottom of 11 x 7 x 2 inch baking dish. Spread with cottage cheese mixture, top with 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese (sliced), top with meat sauce. Repeat layers.

    Bake in preheated oven (375 degrees) for 30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.

    Combine the six ingredients and beat well.

  5. Meat Sauce:

    Brown beef and add remaining ingredients. Simmer until well blended.

    Meat sauce may be prepared in advance and keeps well in the freezer.
