Christmas Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened not melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 2/3 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

    Mix butter and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and sour cream. Mix until blended and dough is in a ball form. Add more flour if dough is too loose. Refrigerate for 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

    On well floured board, roll out dough to 1/4" thick. Cut out cookies and place on cookie sheet. Heat oven to 425 degrees. Bake 4-6 minutes. Cookies are done when the bottom is lightly brown and the top is white. Remove cookies to a wire rack for cooling. 

Note

Rolling tip: For best results, use a small amount of dough at a time and keep the rest refrigerated.
