Ingredients
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5 cup sour milk
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 1.5 cup corn meal
  • 1.5 cup white flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • .75 tsp baking soda
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter or lard
Instructions

    Sift the flour and then measure it. Add the baking powder, soda, salt and corn meal.

    Beat the egg, then add the milk to the egg and then add the sugar.

    Melt the butter and add to the egg mixture.

    Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture. Beat until well mixed.

    Bake in a greased pan in a 400 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.
