Ice Box Doughnuts

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 packages dry yeast
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 6 cup flour

    Pour the boiling water on the sugar, shortening and salt. Dissolve yeast in the lukewarm water. Add to first mixture. Add eggs and flour. Mix and cover with wax paper and put in refrigerator overnight. Roll out next morning. Let rise and fry in deep fat.
