Never Fail Pie Crust

Makes 3 double-crust pies

Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 cup sifted flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 6 tbsp water
Instructions

    Sift flour, salt and sugar; cut in shortening. Combine egg, vinegar and water. Add to flour mixture and mix together, pressing lightly into a ball.

    Dough can be refrigerated for weeks.
