Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup sifted flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix wet ingredients thoroughly together. Sift dry ingredients together and mix thoroughly into wet ingredients. Chill dough at least 1 hour. Roll out 1/8 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Sprinkle with sugar if desired. Bake 6-8 minutes or until delicately golden.
