Ingredients
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup lard (scant 1/2 cup)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder (scant teaspoon)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 5 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup nuts (if desired)

    Mix ingredients together. Let stand in refrigerator a few hours or overnight. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
